University services
For the needs of installation, introduction and maintenance of the University Information System, RCUB provides the University of Belgrade, and other interested universities, with the following services:
- Help in dimensioning and acquisition of servers
- Installing the operative system, data base, and application server
- Installing the data base and UIS components
- Server monitoring and automatic error reporting
- Service availability monitoring
- Upgrading the operative system, data base and application server
- Upgrading the UIS components and data base migration
Universities (except UoB) are in charge for:
- Independent hardware acquisition
- Regular data backup
- User administration
For the faculties and institutions connected the UIS, we are available for:
- Help in dimensioning and acquisition of servers
- Installing the operative system
- Installing clients for web services for automated data transfer to the Rectorate
- Software upgrade
- Technical help for problems in tranfering data to the university
The easiest way for the faculties to receive help is within the Web services working group, which includes the representatives of all institutions of the University of Belgrade (Rectorate, RCUB, faculties and institutes). The working group web site is available here.
